When Jodi was 15 years old, she visited the home of friends, whose 12 year old daughter raised Budgies in a small outdoor aviary. Jodi
was immediately hooked and from that day she knew she would one day raise birds. She never lost sight of that goal, although it took
many years to get started.
When she finally started her flock, she raised color mutation Cockatiels and Peach-Faced Love Birds. Her interest quickly progressed to
Conures, and at one time she specialized in Conures, with a collection of 17 species! From there she started raising Amazon Parrots,
African Parrots, Cockatoos and eventually Macaws.
Jodi has over 16 years experience raising a variety of parrot species. Shortly after she started raising birds, her parents caught her
enthusiasm and began raising birds too! They share her passion and love for these unique and magical creatures. Jodi currently raises
most of the African Parrots: Congo African Grays, Timneh African Grays, Cape Parrots, Jardine Parrots, Senegals, Meyer's Parrots and
Red-Belly Parrots. She also raises Sun Conures and Blue & Gold Macaws. In addition to her own birds, she sells her parents birds,
and they are listed on this site as well.
She is located in beautiful Lake Mathews, California. Her birds are housed in outdoor aviaries where they can enjoy the California
sunshine, fresh air, and yes, some times even some rain! Because of the mild climate, breeding season can be most any time of the
year, and some times there is no "off Season".

Babies are parent hatched and fed (when possible) for several weeks, then lovingly hand-raised and weaned. They are weaned onto a
nutritious "live" sprouted diet, and a variety of fruit, vegetables and pellets. The babies are allowed and encouraged to fly (an important
developmental stage), before progressive wing clipping.
